Notre Dame Spring Football: Don’t Get Attached To Your Quarterbacks

If Rakes of Mallow’s notes on Brian Kelly’s first spring football press conference of the year are any indication, it appears Notre Dame is flatly determined to enter the 2011 college football season with no quarterbacks standing:

Dayne Crist will be limited, similar to the plan used for him last year when he was coming off the ACL injury. He'll do drill work, but probably will see little live action. The two candidates without starting experience, Everett Golson and Andrew Hendrix, will not be wearing a red jersey all of the time. Kelly wants them involved in the running game, and that means getting hit.

Yes, because if there’s one thing you can count on in South Bend, it’s a slew of ready uninjured bodies under center, no?

More notes on the Fighting Irish spring at the above link, plus a word for something that we didn’t even know we needed but are glad to have: The Floyd Void.
