Kolby Gray ‘Represents’ For Pitt, Whatever That Means

Here's a nonessential update from Pitt spring ball: Erstwhile quarterback competitor Kolby Gray has been moved to safety. This is fine, until Todd Graham goes and makes it weird:

He will still represent the role of quarterback but we can only have three in that position right now. He had a great first day and practice went very well.Cardiac Hill is nonplussed. Does Graham mean Gray will still function as a leader for the team in non-quarterbacking capacities, or are they just sticking a piece of masking tape on his helmet that reads “QB X” to make him feel better, in much the same manner as Dave Wannstedt believes he is currently an “inside linebackers coach” (not a real job) for the “Buffalo Bills” (not a real team)? If the Panthers lose to Maine in Week 2, will that be a “representation of victory,” since somebody won?
