NCAA Sanctions: Lane Kiffin Has Some Thoughts

College football dauphin and noted gadabout Lane Kiffin was asked about the possibility of NCAA sanctions being leveled at his person, following the sacking of Bruce Pearl by Tennessee and as-yet unheard punishment to be inflicted upon his former institution by the Committee on Infractions. This is what came out of his mouth, according to the L.A. Times:

“I don’t have a concern for it because I know, and as you read reports [about Pearl], I think when you look at those things it has to do with issues of how you deal with the NCAA and how you communicate with them through the process,” Kiffin said. “I don’t think that that is a question at all in this situation.“To be fair, Kiffykins is correct in that his case differs fundamentally from Pearl’s. In review: Lying to the NCAA? Bad. Running an end-around to evade your own compliance department in order to violate NCAA regulations? A-OK, bro. Glad we could clear that up.
