If you’re not already incensed about how this whole Jim Tressel investigation is being handled by the university and the Big Ten, take a gander at Bruce Feldman’s latest Insider blog entry. In it, he talks with a “longtime head football coach” whose name is not given, but who characterizes himself as a fan of Tressel’s, then puts this whole episode in infuriating perspective:
Jim Tressel Investigation Quote Of The Day
↵
↵Look at the hypocrisy of it: Dez Bryant is found to have lied to the NCAA and loses his eligibility for the rest of his career. A.J. Green sells his jersey and gets four games. Jim Tressel lies and plays these guys for a whole season to get into a BCS bowl and Ohio State only wants to suspend him for two games against MAC teams?
↵
↵Let it be known that while we bear no particular animosity towards Jim Tressel and are avowedly anti-UGA in disposition, if we’re A.J. Green right now, we’re spitting up balls of lava in apoplectic rage. (Politely, because this is Georgia.)
