Aaron Douglas Dead, Coach Confirms, But Cause Of Death Still Unknown

Incoming Alabama Crimson Tide OL Aaron Douglas was found dead Wednesday in Jacksonville, Florida, his high school coach confirmed to GoVolsXtra. Former Maryville High coach George Quarles is quoted as saying, "Yes he is dead I cannot talk right now but am deeply saddened by this tragedy." Other news outlets have also posted confirming stories, while ESPN decided to roll with this update on the matter.

Cause of death still isn’t known. Police in Jacksonville also told the site they plan to release a press release soon on the story, but would not confirm the news.

The former Tennessee Volunteers player apparently posted a Facebook message late Tuesday night, inquiring about Jacksonville happenings (similar to the message he tweeted), according to GVX, but I haven't been able to find his Facebook page.

As Douglas was a part of two SEC football communities, news, reactions and reports are going to start coming out from all over. College football fans are talking about Douglas’ passing at Rocky Top Talk, Roll Bama Roll and Every Day Should Be Saturday.
