Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany announced on Sunday that the conference will host its football championship game in Indianapolis and have its basketball tournament alternate between Chicago and Indy.

Big Ten Football Title Game, Basketball Tournament To Be Played In Indianapolis, According To Report
The Big Ten football championship game is a four-year deal with the city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium, which also will host the 2012 Super Bowl (pending an actual NFL season taking place). The Stagg-Paterno Championship Trophy will be awarded for the first time to the victor of the Leaders vs. Legends clash.
The basketball tournament, currently held at Conseco Field House since 2008, will finish its current deal through 2012 and began alternating with the United Center in Chicago, which begins host duties again in 2013. From 2002-2007, Chicago and Indianapolis alternated host duties.
