Texas And Oklahoma Fans Stage A Red River Shootout (With Knives)

The SEC has long had a stranglehold on the “craziest conference in college football”, but that’s not to say it’s a monopoly. For more, we take you to an Applebees in San Antonio.

Monday night at an Applebee’s restaurant in San Antonio, an Oklahoma Sooners fan and a Texas Longhorns fan got into a shouting match, resulting in a stabbing according to police reports. The two men got into an altercation around midnight ... and the Sooners fan pulled a knife and began to attack the Longhorns fan. The police said both fans were stabbed at one point during the fight.

It’s not exactly on par with the near-castration of a Texas fan in 2007, but it still scores high on the scale of college football insanity, and offers an important reminder for all of us.

Yes, the SEC may be the epicenter, but insane college football fans are everywhere, and they’re apparently fond of low-cost, high-quality restaurants. So if you’re planning a trip to Applebees or TGI Fridays or perhaps even Chili’s... Wear neutral colors, and watch ya back.
