Tanner Price Injury: Wake Forest Starter Leaves After Shot To Leg

Wake Forest starting quarterback Tanner Price suffered a leg injury against Syracuse and had to leave the game.

The game between the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Syracuse Orange is somehow hands-down the best of college football's opening night, but here's one very sour note: Deacs starting quarterback Tanner Price had to leave the game in the fourth quarter after suffering what appeared to be a lower leg injury.

Price had played very well on the night, throwing for 297 yards and two touchdowns on 32 attempts as Wake rolled to a likely road upset victory.

Price was tended to on the field by medical personnel, then was able to walk off the field with assistance. Can’t speculate on his injury at this point, but it looked like a defender rolled up on his leg.

Ted Stachitas took over for Price, completing a swing pass before Wake kicked a field goal.
