Jerry Kill Stable, Taken To Hospital After Suffering Seizure

Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill is in stable condition after suffering a seizure on the sidelines during the Minnesota Golden Gophers' game on Saturday. Kill collapsed on the sideline in a scary moment for those watching, with medical personnel quickly rushing to his aid. Kill was down for an extended period of time, but did rise to his feet as the crowd clapped a short time later.

According to the Minnesota SID, Kill is in stable condition after suffering the seizure (via Luke Zimmermann).

Minnesota SIDs report that Kill did indeed have a seizure and is stable condition but taken to the hospital for further tests.

This is also a condition Kill has dealt with for awhile. In 2005, Kill suffered a mid-game seizure while coaching at SIU.

For now, it appears Kill will recover, but will be taken to the hospital as a precaution. Thoughts go out to Kill and his family after what was an incredibly jarring moment during Saturday’s game.
