LSU and Mississippi State kicked off this week’s college football schedule on Thursday night. Just in case anyone missed the 19-6 drubbing of the Bulldogs -- it’s tough to say whether the Tigers’ defense was just that good or Mississippi State’s offense is just that bad -- video highlights of the SEC battle have been uploaded to the internet.

The highlights are probably the most palatable way of catching up on the game, too, considering that it was a mostly defensive battle up until Jarrett Lee and the LSU offense got going in the fourth quarter after trailing 6-0 through the first three stanzas of action.
All in all, it's not going to be especially difficult to top that game this weekend as numerous good games should await following the end of the powder-puff like start to the college football season. The addition of that hit in the middle from Eric Reid on Vic Ballard, however, is probably worth a couple of watches by itself.
