The Arizona Sun Devils weren’t going to let a little thing like being down at halftime prevent them from playing out the rest of this game. And not scoring in the third quarter wasn’t going to keep them quiet for the rest of the game. As it turns out, the Sun Devils just wanted to make things interesting against Illinois and wait until the fourth quarter to make some noise.
Arizona State Vs. Illinois Update: Brock Osweiler’s Legs Put Sun Devils In Lead, 14-10
Arizona State's 6-foot-8 quarterback, Brock Osweiler, started the end of the third quarter in Illinois territory at the 45-yard line. Cameron Marshall rushed twice for 23 yards and Osweiler had a seven-yard completion to Aaron Pflugard. Two plays later, Osweiler used his legs to run for a 14-yard touchdown, putting the Sun Devils back in the lead, 14-10.
There’s still plenty of time for this game to tip either way. There’s about 10 minutes left to play.
