Georgia Vs. Ole Miss Final Score: Aaron Murray Leads Bulldogs To Win In Oxford

The Georgia Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels both got off to rather rough starts this season, leaving head coaches Mark Richt and Houston Nutt in a sort of limbo when it came to their job status. Richt's Bulldogs picked up the win, via a final score of 27-13, on the road in Oxford on Saturday thanks to solid play from his defense and a trio of touchdowns from quarterback Aaron Murray.

Murray threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns through the air and added a third on a quarterback sneak in the first quarter to give the Bulldogs a 10-0 lead to end the first quarter. Murray's end zone targets weren't wide receivers, but tight ends as Orson Charles and Aron White each ended the game with a touchdown.

Ole Miss looked to add some momentum heading into halftime as they got a bit tricky with their special teams play, but unfortunately it wasn't enough for the home team. Jeff Scott received a 57-yard punt and then reversed it to speedster Nickolas Brassell as he ran 81 yards through a bevy of Bulldogs' defenders on his way to the end zone. That momentum didn't last, however, as Ole Miss kicker Bryson Rose missed the extra point.

The outcome likely bought Richt more time, but Nutt’s team starting 1-3 on the season -- including 0-2 in the SEC -- probably won’t help his job status with the Rebels.
