Texas A&M Vs. Oklahoma State Score Update: Cowboys Strike Back In Third Quarter

Texas A&M dominated the first half of its game against Oklahoma State. But the Cowboys have roared back in the third quarter, and now lead the Aggies, 24-20.

Oklahoma State made up almost all of a yardage deficit to the Aggies with its first two impressive third quarter drives. Jeremy Smith capped an 11-play, 80-yard possession with a 13-yard touchdown run, and then Brandon Weeden found Justin Blackmon for an 11-yard touchdown pass to cap a 10-play, 89-yard series; sandwiched around Texas A&M’s first punt since the first quarter, the scoring drives brought the Cowboys new life.

But momentum wasn’t done swinging toward the visitors from Stillwater. Texas A&M’s Kenric McNeal coughed up the ball, fumbling for the day’s first turnover, giving the Cowboys possession in Aggie territory and more than five more minutes of the third quarter to do something with it.

They did just that, with Weeden threading the needle on a touchdown pass to Tracy Moore that gave the Cowboys their first lead of the day. Suddenly, it’s Texas A&M that is in need of an offensive spark.
