Alabama Vs. Arkansas Final Score: Tide Further Assert Dominance

Would you believe that, early on, the Arkansas Razorbacks once looked capable of going toe-to-toe with the Alabama Crimson Tide? It was 7-7 early in the first quarter, but 17-7 Alabama at the half and 38-14 by late in the third quarter. Nick Saban judged that lead to be sufficient, and there the score remained.

Watching this game was to watch Alabama's defense quickly figure out what the Razorbacks were doing on offense. Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson was 10-of-12 after that first touchdown, but 12-of-23 thereafter. He finished with 185 yards and an interception that went for a Bama score. He gave it everything he had throughout, taking a flattening hit in the chin on his second touchdown pass.

At one point, Wilson was assigned a hidden-ball play. He held the ball behind his back after play action, then fired it deep. Double coverage despite an invisible football, somehow.

Trent Richardson ran for his requisite 123 yards, A.J. McCarron didn't louse anything up and that was that. That one drive aside, Alabama treated a powerful Arkansas team as if it was Kent State or North Texas.
