Colorado Vs. Ohio State Final Score: Braxton Miller Leads Buckeyes To 37-17 Victory Over Hapless Buffaloes

Ohio St. Buckeyes true freshman quarterback Braxton Miller still has much to learn on the field, but his first collegiate start was a success in most categories. He did lead the Buckeyes to a 37-17 over the Colorado Buffaloes, who have lost 19 straight road games.

Miller wasn’t spectacular throwing the ball, completing just seven passes for 116 yards. However, two of those completions were for 32- and 17-yard touchdown catches by Devin Smith. Miller, who threw for 110 yards, also ran the ball 16 times for 78 yards, often proving hard for the Buffs to tackle him.

Buckeyes running back Jordan Hall rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, but his most exciting play came on a 90-yard kick return. While he didn’t score on it, Hall set up another Ohio State score.

For the Buffaloes, it was a series of errors on the field. After finding success on the ground last week, Rodney Stewart had just nine carries for 59 yards. He saw Tyler Hansen throw two touchdowns and put the ball in the air 39 times. However, the most egregious mistake came at the hands of Stewart.

Colorado coach Jon Embree called a time out with seconds left in the quarter so he could have Stewart field a punt. Stewart muffed the punt, allowing Ohio State to recover the ball and add a field goal after a Miller 10-yard run. It killed any momentum the Buffs had, who had just scored on a desperation touchdown throw by Hansen.

The Buckeyes (3-1) host Michigan State next week. Colorado (1-3) returns home to host Washington State.
