Vanderbilt Vs. South Carolina Final Score: Gamecocks Overcome Four Stephen Garcia Interceptions For 21-3 Victory

Normally, if a quarterback throws four interceptions his team is likely to be losing. But that's not always the case when the opposing team is Vanderbilt. South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia threw four interceptions but led his team to a 21-3 victory.

Garcia threw two interceptions in the first quarter, but Vanderbilt was only able to convert the second one into points, a 33-yard field goal. His third one didn't turn out to be detrimental. Freshman Jadeveon Clowney sacked Vanderbilt quarterback Larry Smith on the following drive, stripped the ball and then saw his teammates take it to the end zone. Actually, it was more like watching it roll into the end zone as Antonio Allen lost possession of it before Melvin Ingram covered it up for the score.

After that, this was all South Carolina's game. Stephen Garcia found running back Marcus Lattimore for a 52-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter to put the score at 14-3. Lattimore found the end zone on the ground with a 22-yard score midway through the third quarter.

Vanderbilt intercepted Garcia for the fourth time at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Gamecocks defense held strong and forced a three-and-out.

Vanderbilt (3-1) has next week off before they face the Alabama Crimson Tide. South Carolina (4-0) hosts Auburn next week.
