Oklahoma RB Jonathan Miller Will Transfer, Bob Stoops Confirms

A little over a two weeks since being arrested for missing a spring court date for a traffic ticket issued last year, Oklahoma Sooners RB Jonathan Miller has decided to transfer.

A little over a two weeks since being arrested for missing a spring court date for a traffic ticket issued last year, Oklahoma Sooners RB Jonathan Miller has decided to transfer.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops confirmed the news and said the decision was “family reasons, and he wanted to play a little more.“ He said Miller leaves with his “full blessing.”

Miller redshirted in 2010 due to a knee injury after rushing 18 times for 130 yards and a touchdown in 2009. Miller rushed seven times for 20 yards in Oklahoma's 47-14 win over Tulsa this past weekend. Dominique Whaley and Brennan Clay received the bulk of the carries for the Sooners, 18 and 14 respectively.

Miller was arrested on August 18 after missed a court date related to his September 2010 ticket for driving without a license. After missing an April court date, a warrant was issued for his arrest in May and he was finally booked in August.
