2012 FCS Championship Game Score Update: D.J. McNorton Ends Reign Of Field Goal

The 2012 FCS Championship Game got a shot in the arm early in the second half, when Brock Jensen hit D.J. McNorton for a 39-yard catch-and-run touchdown, the first non-field goal score of the day. It’s now 10-6, Bison.

The key play was a fake punt run by Matt Voigtlander. The NCAA's premier college football championship game has a punter as the leading rusher on the winning team, and everything is awesome. Where you at, Brad Wing?

Until that drive, Sam Houston State had been hanging right with the Bison offensively. But their dominant offense is going to need to step it up against a NDSU squad that’s on fire after shutting down the even run-heavier Georgia Southern attack. “Run-heavier.” I dunno.
