Cordy Glenn, NFL Draft 2012: Overlooked Offensive Lineman Could Be A Steal

Cordy Glenn is loooking like a first round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, but a relative lack of inexperience could make teams thinks twice about the former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman.

Cordy Glenn isn't one of the more heralded prospects being bandied about as people begin to discuss the 2012 NFL Draft, but he could be one of the sleepers of the first round. The former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman could be a steal if he's not selected too early by a team that covets his blend of skills.

Glenn is ranked as the 29th best prospect in the draft, according to SB Nation’s Mocking the Draft, but his size and ability could rocket him up some draft boards.

Cordy Glenn is one of those rare prospects that possesses both the size and athletic skills to make an impact in the NFL. Glenn is above average in both the passing and running game. He has a natural bend and thick base to hold up at the point of attack. In pass protection, he avoids wasted motions, remains balanced, and mirrors the rush. He does a great job of absorbing contact and holding his ground. His long arms allow him to engage the rushers and keep them off his frame. Glenn’s size, strength, and balance are what makes him a good run blocker.

It’ll be interesting to see if teams overlook his relative inexperience and focus on his talent heading into the draft.
