VIDEO: NIU’s Jamaal Bass Indicted For Assault After Plowing Over Band Member

Northern Illinois linebacker Jamaal Bass ran over a member of the Toledo marching band in a November football game. After being suspended one game, and later two more for it, he's facing two assault charges, including one felony, in Lucas County, Ohio after he was indicted Monday. You can see the video of the incident after the jump.

(h/t Deadspin)

An arraignment date has not been set yet for trial. Though the hit itself doesn’t look incredibly serious, Jamaal Bass is 6-feet tall and 220 pounds of pure muscle, pretty much launching himself into what appears to be the face of a marching band member who’s clearly, well, not 6-feet, 220 and built of solid muscle. The felony assault charge carries a maximum sentence of eight years in prison.
