Robert Griffin III’s Pro Day At Baylor Will Be Televised

There isn't as much anticipation around the top couple of picks in the 2012 NFL draft because we basically know how they'll go: the Colts will select Stanford's Andrew Luck No. 1 and the Redskins will pick Baylor's Robert Griffin III No. 2. I feel about 95 percent confident predicting those first two spots now that the Redskins have traded up with the Rams into the second spot.

So, RG3’s pro day at Baylor University won’t be the spectacle we once figured it would be, but it’s noteworthy nonetheless. It takes place on late Wednesday morning and will be televised on ESPNU, ESPN3 and NFL Network. It will start at 12 p.m. (ET). RG3 didn’t throw at the NFL Combine, electing instead to throw to his own receivers at Baylor’s pro day, which means this is the first time he’ll be throwing publicly since the end of the college football season.

The Colts will be in attendance although many believe it’s a foregone conclusion that they’ll pick Luck and the Redskins will pick RG3. It would take a stunning turn of events for the top two picks not to go that way.

One hidden benefit of having a star player at your interview is that the rest of the players working out will have a bigger audience of scouts and NFL executives.
