Getty ImagesRichardson, who has reportedly made excellent progress since coaches thought he might be lost for the season, has had his sights set on playing in the Sept. 22 Washington State game all along. The junior pass catcher has been using this date as motivation because he still feels the need to redeem himself after fumbling in the second half in last season’s contest against the Cougars.
Richardson still hasn’t played a full season as a starter in either of his first two year’s of his collegiate campaign. In nine games last season, Richardson caught 39 passes for 555 yards and five touchdowns while playing though numerous nagging injuries.

Buffs blog The Ralphie Report surveys the damage:
Richardson was looking to become a young star in the Pac-12, with Colorado coaches praising his spring workouts and an entire offense there for the taking. He posted 555 receiving yards last year, tops by far among all returning Buffaloes.
