The Texas A&M Aggies play at a large venue that is often loud and intimidating. Their home stadium, Kyle Field, “seats” 83,002 spectators, but the Aggies might be able to pack even more people into their stadium to watch football games. That’s why the university is looking into the future of Kyle Field, which could either be renovation or demolition.
Texas A&M Looking Into Stadium Improvements
Texas A&M is exploring stadium expansion options and could elect to build a new stadium.
The university has hired a sports facility design firm to look into their various options for increasing the number of people they can herd into their stadium for home games, including the possible construction of a new stadium. Even though the Aggies won't be playing the Texas Longhorns anymore, the demand for season tickets in College Station has skyrocketed since the university made the decision to move to the SEC. That demand should remain high as long as Texas A&M is competitive, so the school understandably wants to expand to meet that demand.
