Robert Griffin III Won’t Work Out For Washington Redskins

Baylor's Robert Griffin III is expected to be one of the top two picks in the 2012 NFL Draft, but he won't be working out for either of the teams holding the first two picks. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay confirmed on Tuesday that the agent for RGIII declined an opportunity for a private workout with the Colts. And now ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Washington Redskins, who hold the second overall pick, won't be requesting a private workout with RGIII, either.

Almost everyone expects the Colts to take Stanford's Andrew Luck with the first pick and then the Redskins to follow that by taking RGIII with the second pick. Apparently, the Redskins saw all they needed of RGIII at Baylor's pro day last month and will not request a work out with him.

Before the 2006 NFL draft, Mike Shanahan, former Broncos head coach and current Redskins head coach, never worked out Jay Cutler before selecting him with the 11th overall pick, so this wouldn’t be a first for Shanahan.

Redskins fans can find out all the information they need on RGIII from SB Nation’s YouTube scouting report:
