Colorado State's Nordly Capi, Colton Paulhus, and Mike Orakpo were suspended Monday as Fort Collins police investigate an assault that allegedly involved the players, according to the Associated Press.

Three Colorado State players have been suspended as Fort Collins police investigate a Friday assault.


Colorado State coach Jim McElwain did not rule out the possibility of further discipline, including dismissal.
“A lot of things right now obviously are still being looked into,” McElwain said during a 15-minute news conference before practice. “I think our city police are doing an outstanding job with that part of it, and really, until then, there’s not a lot other (we can do) given the actions and things that we’ve done to be ahead of this.”
Police said that five men got out of an SUV and confronted four victims last Friday night, injuring all of them, and two seriously. Some of the victims told the Coloradoan that their assailants were Colorado State football players.
