The dream is over, friends. Maryland will get a new surface on its football field, but it’s not exactly what we’d all hoped for:

The press release calls the FieldTurf Revolution surface -- which uses CoolPlay technology -- the coolest surface in the land, which isn't true because the black field would've been hilariously awesome.
