Jerry Sandusky Guilty On 45 Of 48 Counts In Sex Abuse Case

The jury in the Jerry Sandusky trial has found the former Pennsylvania State University coach guilty on 45 counts in his child sexual abuse case.

The jury deliberated for nearly two days, roughly 21 hours. The prosecution presented its case to the jury and was tasked with finding whether Sandusky was guilty on six first-degree felonies for deviate sexual intercourse, four counts for first-degree felonies for unlawful contact with a minor, one second-degree felony charge for aggravated indecent assault and nine types of third-degree felony charges. Sandusky also faced 20 misdemeanor charges.

Sandusky’s sentencing will come at a later date.
