Jerry Sandusky Scandal: 3 Men Say They Were Abused In ‘70s Or ‘80s

Three men have told police that they were sexually abused by former Penn State football defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky in the 1970s or 1980s, according to a report from PennLive.com. The men are the first to allege abuse prior to the 1990s. Sandusky would have been in his late 20s in the early 1970s when one of the men says he was abused.

Sandusky has already been found guilty on 45 of 48 counts of child sexual abuse and awaits sentencing in September that in all likelihood will put him behind bars for the rest of his life.

It is unclear whether the commission headed by former FBI director Louis Freeh was aware of the men in the course of its investigation into the cover-up that involved coaching legend Joe Paterno. The report made no mention of any victims prior to the 1990s.
