Ohio State Football: Storm Klein Applies For Reinstatement

Former Ohio State linebacker Storm Klein has asked to be reinstated to the football team after pleading down from recent criminal charges, as Sports Illustrated reports on Wednesday. Klein was kicked off the team after being charged with domestic violence, but he's since pleaded down to a lesser charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

A starter at linebacker for ten games with the Buckeyes last season, Klein was kicked off the team by new coach Urban Meyer for violating part of the team’s behavior policy. The team does appear to be considering bringing him back now, though, as team spokesperson Jerry Emig said on Wednesday that Klein’s status with the team is being re-considered.

Klein has been sentenced by the Franklin County Municipal Court judge to 18 months of probation after being accused of, “hitting the mother of their child during an argument at his apartment.”
