Oklahoma State, Mississippi State Could Play 2013 Houston Game
Oklahoma State is looking into a possible season opener showdown against Mississippi State for the 2013 season.

A source with knowledge of the situation noted that the Cowboys are “weighing the pros and cons” of adding this game to the schedule. Pros include a nationally televised home opener at an NFL stadium, but playing a second non-conference game away from Boone Pickens Stadium is far from ideal, and something some OSU fans may not prefer.
The Cowboys currently have Texas-San Antonio on the docket as an away game in 2013, and a home game against Lamar as well. Other season opener options at home are also being looked into.
Oklahoma State and Mississippi State have played each other four times, splitting the series 2-2. The Cowboys won by the score of 42-23 in Stillwater in 1998, though fell short in the return game down in Starkville the following season 29-11.
