Texas A&M-Louisiana Tech Postponed Due To Hurricane Isaac

Louisiana Tech announced via their Twitter feed that their Week 1 game against Texas A&M has been postponed due to concerns over Hurricane Isaac.

The game was scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 30, but with Isaac strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico, officials for both schools decided to err on the side of caution and postpone the game as Louisiana prepares for a direct strike from Isaac.

Louisiana Tech was considered a trendy upset pick against Texas A&M in Week 1, as the Aggies transition from the Big XII to the SEC under new coach Kevin Sumlin.

This is the second game that has been postponed due to Hurricane Isaac, with the game between UT-San Antonio and South Alabama being pushed back from Thursday to Saturday.

The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct 13.
