Revised 2012 Texas A&M, Louisiana Tech Football Schedules

With Hurricane Isaac postponing the Week 1 game between the Texas A&M Aggies and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, both teams were fortunate to have the same bye week to be able to reschedule the game on Oct. 13, 2012.

For Louisiana Tech, the luck extends to the fact that the rescheduled game will be sandwiched between home games against the UNLV Rebels and Idaho Vandals, who went a combined 4-20 last year. Neither team should pose a threat to the Bulldogs, who are considered one of the top non-BCS teams in the country this year.

Texas A&M, however, will have a much tougher road than the Bulldogs. Their trip to Oxford, Miss., to take on the Mississippi Rebels the week before doesn't figure to pose too stiff a challenge, but the Aggies will follow their matchup with Louisiana Tech by welcoming in the LSU Tigers to College Station. Having that extra week to prepare for the national-title hopeful Bayou Bengals would have been big for new A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Both teams’ revised schedules are below:

Texas A&M:

Sept. 8 vs. Florida Gators
Sept. 15 at SMU Mustangs
Sept. 22 vs. South Carolina St. Bulldogs
Sept. 29 vs. Arkansas Razorbacks
Oct. 6 at Mississippi Rebels

Oct. 20 vs. LSU Tigers
Oct. 27 at Auburn Tigers
Nov. 3 at Mississippi St. Bulldogs
Nov. 10 at Alabama Crimson Tide

Nov. 24 vs. Missouri Tigers

Louisiana Tech:

Oct. 20 vs. Idaho Vandals

Nov. 10 at Texas St. Bobcats
Nov. 17 vs. Utah St. Aggies
