The Bulldogs, who enter the season ranked sixth in the country, figure to contend in the SEC's Eastern division with South Carolina. Big expectations will fall on the shoulders of junior quarterback Aaron Murray, who threw for 3,149 yards and 35 touchdowns with only 14 interceptions in 2011.
SB Nation’s Georgia blog Dawg Sports looked ahead to the season opener against Buffalo back in July:
Their relative strength is running the ball, but we should score enough to make them a one-dimensional passing offense before the half. If Buffalo scores, we’re in serious trouble for the year, and if we can’t score, it’s going to be a long, long fall.
Dawg Sports went on to predict a 52-0 Bulldogs victory.
Date/Time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, GamePlan
