The Urban Meyer era begins in Columbus on Saturday afternoon when the Ohio State Buckeyes host the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks. The Buckeyes will be looking to start the 2012 off on the right foot and turn the page on last year’s disappointing 6-7 campaign. Ohio State finished that season on a four-game losing streak, including the bowl game.

Miami is coming off a 4-8 season, but the RedHawks return a lot of experienced starters and should be an improved team in the MAC in 2012.
The RedHawks ranked 75th in total offense and 48th in total defense in 2011. The Buckeyes ranked 107th and 19th in those respective categories last season.
