USC Vs. Hawaii Final Score: No. 1 Trojans Dominate, 49-10

The Associated Press poll's number-one ranked USC Trojans dominated from start to finish in a 49-10 win over the Hawaii Warriors on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The Trojans sprinted out to a 35-0 halftime lead and never looked back.

USC scored on the very first play of the game, as wide receiver Marquis Lee took a screen pass from Matt Barkley 75 yards for a touchdown. The Trojans would score often and in various ways throughout the night, including an interception from Hayes Pullard that he returned 27 yards for a score late in the first quarter.

Silas Redd rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown in his USC debut after transferring from Penn State. Barkley hit the bench in the fourth quarter after passing for 351 yards and four touchdowns. Duke transfer Sean Schroeder was 25-40 for 213 yards and one touchdown for Hawaii in the loss.

Box Score Hero: USC WR Marquis Lee, who finished with 290 total yards. Lee caught 10 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown, and also returned a kickoff 100 yards for a score.

Rankings Ramifications: USC should stay atop the AP poll and keeps pace with Alabama in the coaches poll.

But Did They Cover? Surprisingly, no. The line opened at 37, but as money apparently still came in on USC, it ballooned to 43, which USC couldn’t cover.
