Full Nelson Screen Earlier this week, a firestorm erupted when former North Dakota State College of Science football player Jamie Kuntz went public with allegations that he was kicked off the team for being gay. What followed was a back-and-forth of accusations, with Kuntz contending his sexuality was the reason for his dismissal and the school countering that he was caught lying about an incident, in which Kuntz was seen kissing his boyfriend in the press box at an away game.
In his first on-camera interview since being kicked off the team, Kuntz spoke to Amy K. Nelson about his dismissal and the controversy surrounding it. Kuntz told Nelson that he was dismissed for lying, but believes his sexual orientation is the real reason he’s no longer with the team.
