The Iowa Hawkeyes (1-1) host the Northern Iowa Panthers (1-1) on Saturday as they attempt to bounce back from last week's tough 9-6 loss to rival Iowa State. The Panthers have already put a scare into one Big Ten team this season, as they lost by just five points to Wisconsin on Sept. 1. They also came close to knocking off Iowa State in 2011.

The Hawkeyes are going to need to find more offense if they hope to avoid any trouble from the Panthers. Against Iowa State, the Hawkeyes managed to tally just 304 total yards and averaged a meager 4.3 yards per play. The offense was even worse in the team’s season opener against Northern Illinois.
Northern Iowa’s offense, on the other hand, acquitted itself well against Wisconsin -- the Panthers averaged 5.7 yards per play, which was actually a bit better than what the Badgers averaged. So they could certainly pose a challenge to the Hawkeyes on Saturday.
