Florida Vs. Tennessee Final Score: Gators Clamp Down; Win 37-20

The Florida Gators came back to defeat the Tennessee Volunteers, 37-20, in Knoxville on Saturday evening.

No. 18 Florida traded punches with the Vols through the first three quarters, before landing the knockout blow on a 75-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Driskel to Frankie Hammond Jr. in early stages of the fourth.

The Gators were trailing 20-13 before coming back thanks to some quick strikes. Along with the aforementioned score, Florida also struck pay dirt on a Trey Burton 80-yard rumble.

Both teams moved the ball well through the air, but it was the Gators’ ground game that made all the difference. Burton ran for 91 yards on three carries while Driskel showed off his dual-threat capabilities with 73 yards. All together, Will Muschamp’s team gained 265 yards via the rushing attack.

Tyler Bray played admirably for No. 23 Tennessee, completing 22-of-40 for 257 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Unfortunately for Volunteers fans, Bray also tossed a pair of interceptions.

Box Score Hero: Despite being under some heat early in the year, Driskel showed off his skills in this SEC contest. The sophomore threw for 219 yards and two scores while using his legs to pick up 73 yards.

Rankings Effect: Florida will undoubtedly move up after beating a ranked SEC opponent on the road in a hostile environment. On the other hand, the Vols will be unranked next week after just moving into the top 25.

Did They Cover?: Tennessee was favored by three points, but couldn’t get the job done.

Next Week's Schedule: Florida will host the Kentucky Wildcats while Tennessee stay at home to face the Akron Zips.
