Brian Randolph Injury: Tennessee Starter Apparently Done For Year

The Tennessee Volunteers appear to have lost Brian Randolph for the rest of 2012.

Presswire

Tennessee free safety Brian Randolph is apparently done for the season after suffering a knee injury against the Florida Gators on Saturday. While an official prognosis has yet to be released by the school, Randolph recently told well-wishers on his Facebook page that he would return next season.

Randolph played in 12 games for the Volunteers as a true freshman in 2011 and finished the season with 55 tackles and two passes broken up. In 2+ games this season, he had 17 tackles and two pass breakups.

If Randolph is indeed finished for 2012, Tennessee would most likely turn to Brent Brewer or Rod Wilks to replace him. Wilks has appeared in 31 games for the Volunteers over the course of his career, though he has never started a game. Brewer started eight games in 2011.
