Iowa is looking for its second straight win after the Hawkeyes defeated Northern Iowa 27-16 last week. Iowa may be without its leading rusher (what else is new?) Saturday as Damon Bullock appears unlikely to play after suffering a concussion against Northern Iowa. Bullock leads the Hawkeyes in rushing with 280 yards on 65 attempts. If Bullock doesn't play, sophomore Mark Weisman will likely carry the load for Iowa. Weisman rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns last week.
The Chippewas will play their second straight game against a Big Ten opponent as they are coming off a 41-7 loss to No. 11 Michigan State. Central Michigan should be well rested, however, as it is fresh off a bye week. Central Michigan is led offensively by junior running back Zurlon Tipton. Tipton is averaging 121 rushing yards per game this season, including 8.6 yards per attempt. Tipton and the Chippewas' offense will face a tough Iowa defense that currently ranks 18th in the country in points per game allowed.
Saturday’s game will be the third meeting between the two teams and the first since 1998. Iowa won both of the previous contests.
Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network
Point spread: Iowa favored by 17 points
