Perry Hills Injury: Maryland QB Takes Shot To Head, Misses Play

Maryland freshman quarterback Perry Hills was knocked out for a play at the end of the first half during the Terps matchup against West Virginia. Hills was standing in the pocket and setting up to pass, but play was stopped as the whistle blew for a false start. West Virginia's Travis Bell, however, still came around the edge and absolutely hammered Hills from the blind side, planting the freshman in the turf.

Hills remained down on the field and was tended to by the Maryland training staff. On his first attempt to get up, he appeared a little woozy and wobbly and went back down to the field with the trainers. It looked like Hills would be out for at least the rest of the half, but he was on the sideline for just one play, as fellow true freshman Devin Burns came on in relief.
