USC Linebacker Hayes Pullard Injured, Back In Locker Room

USC Trojans starting linebacker Hayes Pullard appears to have suffered an injury during the third quarter of Saturday's game against the California Golden Bears. Pullard, arguably the team's top linebacker, has his shoulder pads off and and is walking back to the locker room, the team has announced.

The extent of the injury to Pullard is currently unknown. If he is unable to finish this game or is slated to miss extended time, it would be a crushing blow to the Trojans defensive unit.

The 6-foot-1, 235 pound sophomore linebacker is one of USC’s top defensive players. The 20-year-old Pullard is a local product and has recorded 25 tackles in four games this season. He also snagged an interception which he took for a touchdown.

To replace Pullard, at least for the short-term, the Trojans summoned Anthony Sarao. A freshman, Sarao is a 6'0", 215-pound linebacker and has recorded six tackles and one sack so far this season.
