University of Washington defensive end Hau'oli Jamora and running back Jesse Callier have both suffered ACL tears, which puts an end to both players' seasons, according to Ryan Divish of the Tacoma News Tribune.

Callier caught two passes for eight yards in the first quarter during the Huskies’ season-opening 21-12 victory over San Diego State, before exiting with an injured knee. Jamora, meanwhile, did not play in the game. Nine different Huskies players have suffered some type of ACL injury, according to head coach Steve Sarkisian, and the team is looking into possible answers.

Callier will be allowed to redshirt this season, while the Huskies are unsure about Jamora, who had surgery on his knee last Thursday. Callier had not missed a game in his career at Washington, appearing in 26 contests and rushing for 693 yards and a touchdown in 2010 and 2011. Jamora played in 13 games as a freshman, but appeared in just four last season before suffering a knee injury against California. He re-injured the knee early in fall camp.
