Michigan State Vs. Central Michigan Final Score: Spartans Hammer Chippewas, 41-7

The No. 11 Michigan State Spartans made quick work of the Central Michigan Chippewas, beating their interstate counterparts 41-7 in Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Maxwell was on the mark all day, throwing for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns. After taking over for Kirk Cousins, Maxwell has been impressive with an ample amount of pressure on his shoulders.

Running back Le'Veon Bell also had a productive afternoon. After gashing Boise State in the opener, Bell had only 67 yards on 18 carries but did find the end zone twice.

On the other side, Ryan Radcliff had a tough day under center. The Central Michigan quarterback only found his target on 17-of-38 throws for 173 yards with no touchdowns and two picks.

Next week, Michigan State takes on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at home. The Chippewas have an easier assignment on paper, playing the Iowa Hawkeyes on the road Sept 22.
