Air Force Vs. Michigan Final Score: Denard Robinson Helps Wolverines Hold On

The Michigan Wolverines likely had a tougher time than they should have against Air Force Falcons on Saturday afternoon, but the 19th-ranked team in the country was able to get the job done anyway.

Denard Robinson contributed on four touchdowns as the Wolverines barely held on for a 31-25 victory.

The Wolverines led 14-10 at halftime -- helped immensely by a 79-yard touchdown run from Robinson early in the first quarter -- and were expected to open the lead up a bit in the second half. That never happened, however, forcing Michigan to fight for their first victory of the season.

Cody Getz ran for his third touchdown early in the fourth quarter to bring the Falcons within three points, but Michigan kicker Brendan Gibbs knocked a 31-yard field goal through the uprights shortly thereafter for the final score of the game.

Box Score Hero: Robinson threw for a pair of touchdowns and amassed 205 yards through the air, but his legs did most of the work as the multi-talented quarterback ran the football 20 times for 218 yards and a pair of scores.

Rankings Ramifications: The Wolverines’ win wasn’t impressive, but it could move them up a couple of spots if teams in front of them fail to impress on Saturday.

But Did They Cover? Not even close. Check all of the spreads here.
