It didn’t take long for the next Von Miller to come along. That’s what LSU junior pass rusher Barkevious Mingo represents. Mingo’s stats may not be as impressive at Miller’s were at Texas A&M, but his skill set is similar. From a size standpoint, Mingo may even have more upside because he’s taller with plenty of room to grow.

Creeping up behind Mingo is Georgia’s Jarvis Jones. His burst isn’t quite as good as Mingo’s, but he’s been more productive. After Jones and Mingo, the quality of the junior outside linebacker prospects drops off.
The senior class is headlined by Florida State’s Brandon Jenkins. Despite an injury that knocks him out for the season, Jenkins is just a better prospect than the other seniors. Players like Gerald Hodges and Khaseem Greene are strictly weakside players. One player to keep an eye on is Walter Stewart of Cincinnati. He could be this year’s version of Melvin Ingram. Stewart gets moved all around the field and has even been put over slot receivers.
