Senior Bowl 2013: Marcus Lattimore walking the sidelines

South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore showed up at Senior Bowl practice and was seen walking without a limp.

When Marcus Lattimore suffered a gruesome knee injury on Oct. 27, few could have imagined the South Carolina running back would be walking around without a limp this early.

Lattimore dislocated his left kneecap and tore several ligaments on the same knee that he had injured just a year earlier. Yet, Lattimore showed up at Senior Bowl practice on Tuesday and was walking without a limp.

Lattimore told reporters that he is “way ahead of schedule” and is going to come back “better than he was.” He went on to say that Dr. James Andrews, who performed his knee surgery, said Lattimore’s progress was “nothing short of a miracle.“

In addition to showing the world he is already walking around without issue, Lattimore was able to meet with NFL teams while visiting the Senior Bowl. He can’t run yet, but Lattimore is confident that he can be ready to play in Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season.
