While plenty of air time, column inches and web space have been devoted to discussing the 2013 NFL Draft quarterback class, Sean Renfree is not a name mentioned too often.
2013 NFL Draft: Kiper views Sean Renfree as sleeper
ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper likes what he has seen from the Duke quarterback.

The Duke quarterback has flown under the radar due to an unspectacular senior season for the Blue Devils. But ESPN’s NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper seems to think Renfree could be a sleeper in this year’s class. He expanded on that view in an interview with BuffaloBills.com.
“Another quarterback I like is Sean Renfree out of Duke,” Kiper said. “I like the fact that he has size, I like his arm. I like that he was with David Cutcliffe for five years. He tutored Peyton and Eli Manning and is known as a quarterback guru.
“Renfree took Duke to a bowl game for the first time since 1994, Renfree did. He’s a Matt Hasselback, Matt Schaub type to me so I like Renfree in the fifth round area.”
Renfree completed more than 64 percent of his pass attempts at Duke. He doesn’t have a ton of arm strength, but it may be adequate to transition to the NFL. Renfree projects as a backup at this point but should stick in the league. He’s proven his accuracy but needs to smooth things out with his decision making to be counted on in the NFL.
