The pro day schedule is winding to a close, as Duke and Iowa were the two biggest schools holding workouts on Monday, but it was Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short who stole the headlines, as he held a private workout after being unable to participate in drills at both the NFL Scouting Combine and Purdue's pro day in early March.
Monday pro day recap: Kawann Short workout overshadows Iowa, Duke
The Purdue defensive tackle held an individual workout on Monday, and it garnered more attention than the pro days at both Duke and Iowa.

While 22 teams attended Duke’s pro day, according to Blue Devil Nation, and 20 teams were at Iowa’s pro day, per Chris Steuber, Short’s individual workout at Purdue attracted 20 teams as well.
Short’s workout was the most revealing of the day, as teams were hoping to see how he’s recovering from his hamstring injury. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.08 and 5.09 seconds, and put up 29 repetitions on the bench press at 225 pounds, according to Gil Brandt.
In a deep defensive tackle draft, Short isn’t as highly regarded as some of his classmates at the position. While he flashed top-15 potential at times during his senior season, Short has been questioned because of his motor and consistency.
As for the other pro days on Monday, Duke quarterback Sean Renfree was still unable to throw due to injury. The Blue Devils haven't had a player drafted since 2004, but with Renfree and wide receiver Conner Vernon, that should change this year.
At Iowa, media were not allowed at the pro day. Wide receiver Keenan Davis, center James Ferentz and safety Micah Hyde were the most notable former Hawkeyes working out today.
