The Tennessee Titans have been very busy this off-season, signing free agents left and right (including, oddly, three former Buffalo Bills players) and trying to put talent around Jake Locker in a critical year for the third-year quarterback and his head coach, Mike Munchak. What might they do in the draft? In this year’s SB Nation NFL bloggers mock, the board fell in a way that made the job easy for our resident Titans blogger.
2013 NFL mock draft: Dee Milliner to Tennessee Titans
The rich get richer in a busy off-season for the Tennessee Titans.
| Pick | Player | Position | Height | Weight | Class |
| 10. Tennessee Titans | Dee Milliner, Alabama | CB | 6'0" | 201 | JR |
| Jimmy Morris: "The Titans have done a pretty good job filling their needs in free agency this year. That frees them up to take the best player available at No. 10, and that is exactly what Milliner is here. They would be thrilled to see him on the board when it is their turn to pick. "Milliner is a blue chip prospect in a draft that doesn’t have many of those, and he gives them the ability to move Alterraun Verner inside on passing downs. Verner is really good there, but they are forced to keep him outside right now because they don’t have another solid corner. Milliner fits that role." | ![]() | ||||
Here’s our own Dan Kadar to break down the pick:
Tennessee has added several big pieces in free agency, most notably guard Andy Levitre. That should take a player like guard Jonathan Cooper off the table – unless the Titans really want a player that can either play guard or center. The way this draft has fallen, it leaves Milliner as the best player available. The Titans never really found a replacement for Cortland Finnegan, and Milliner could be that player. To get a player of his caliber with the No. 10 pick would be a steal.
Coming up at Noon: we traverse beyond the Top 10, where the San Diego Chargers lead off with the No. 11 overall pick. In the meantime, your feedback on the Titans’ pick of Milliner is welcome in the comments section.
